Which will finally put to rest the ridiculous notion that the pro Palestinian movement had a unique hatred of Israel and looked the other way on other atrocities in the Middle East because they only care about foreign conflicts when it’s the Jews.
Heartened to see the large turnout of pro Palestinian activists as they march to protest the Iranian Government’s murder of up to 20,000 of their own citizens over only 17 days.
A massacre that, going off the fiercly independent and neutral publication Al Jazeera’s own estimates of civilian deaths in Gaza, is up to 1,210% more deadly than the Gaza war itself (so far).
Expect to see 100,000 people marching across Sydney Harbour Bridge in the coming days.
@nth09@downtime_33@Dan_Arrows "You see, Baldrick, in order to prevent war in Europe, two superblocs developed: us, the French and the Russians on one side, and the Germans and Austro-Hungary on the other. The idea was to have two vast opposing armies, each acting as the other's deterrent."
@waltersaysthin1@corrientecanta@clairlemon One and same. My point is that it matters who tied the bodies to the track. It was never that it's the only consideration or the most important. Only that it matters. By acknowledging that intent does play a part, you have agreed with my above statement.
@waltersaysthin1@corrientecanta@clairlemon It's 100% relevant because it informs the likelihood of either party breaking a ceasefire in a few months or a few years time, which informs the conditions and guarantees under which a ceasefire is agreed.
@UncleWilly007@TallbarFIN If you say to the cops "my neighbor stole my car" and they ask for more info and you reply "prove he didn't steal my car!" they will laugh at you. It's not how evidence works.
@UncleWilly007@TallbarFIN How do you disprove a negative? Have you heard of Bertrand Russell's teapot? The idea is that while you cannot prove a giant teapot is orbiting the sun between there is no reason to think there is one: https://t.co/vSusAQFPOC
@UncleWilly007@TallbarFIN dammit i really goofed that. while you cannot *disprove* a giant teapot is orbiting the sun, there is no reason to believe there is one. It's a point about burden of proof.
@band_milli @Hightime41776 @1Chillwind@DC_Draino The UK didn't have an election during WW2. Did that make Churchill a dictator? Would a US election be fair for a GOP candidate if Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Georgia were being occupied by the Mexican Military?
@waltersaysthin1@corrientecanta@clairlemon This inversion of responsibility is mirrored by those on the left who ‘blame’ Israel for Hama’s actions. It’s moral responsibility flipped.
