Wonderful to meet H.E. Arrmanatha Nasir, Foreign Minister of #Indonesia, during a journey to Indonesia, with colleagues from #Africa, the #Caribbean, Southeast Asia and the #Pacific.
As a former colleague @UN, it was a pleasure to reconnect, exchange views, and explore avenues for further cooperation and collaboration between our two countries.
The visit offered a valuable opportunity for @UN Permanent Representatives to gain deeper insights into Indonesia, explore opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, and foster greater cooperation and mutual understanding.
Home to approximately 280 million people across some 17,000 islands, Indonesia is a remarkable tapestry of 1300 cultures, languages, and traditions, united under the founding philosophy of Pancasila.
Its principles of belief in God, just and civilized humanity, national unity, deliberative democracy, and social justice resonate with #Eritrea’s foundational principles of national unity, self-reliance, social justice, and popular participation.
Rooted in distinct historical experiences but united by shared aspirations, #Eritrea and #Indonesia are committed to building cohesive, sovereign nations in which diversity is a source of strength and national unity serves the collective good.
These shared principles provide a strong foundation for deepening bilateral friendship and cooperation, anchored in mutual respect, sovereign equality, and solidarity, and advancing South-South cooperation.
For the PRs traveling together, is also a great opportunity to update reach other on developments in our respective regions…
Stop misleading the international community Abiy Ahmed’s definition of “sea access” is to have sovereignty over a strip of their land connecting Ethiopia to their ports. Not just for commercial reasons but military reasons. And that’s just a non-starter for his neighbors. Eritrea has consistently affirmed its readiness to cooperate on trade and port access within lawful, mutually beneficial frameworks. What it will not do is bargain away its sovereignty. Access to the sea can be achieved through respect and commerce, not revisionism and threats. The international community is fully aware of which party continues to threaten peace and stability in the region. Eritrea has never entertained expansionist and irredentist agendas against Ethiopia or any another neighboring country.
The Potemkin Party continues to double down on its campaign of war and unremitting hostility against Eritrea by dwelling on revisionist historical narratives and the deplorable denigration of Eritrea's legitimate, decades-old, process of decolonization achieved through unparalleled and precious sacrifices.
In this vein, one of PP's official mouthpieces - Fana Broadcasting Corporation - disparages, on its X account today, Eritrea's overall development policy and what it dubs as "stagnation of Assab".
Furthermore, it laments the loss of "Ethiopia's Red Sea coastline", due, in its warped mind, "to conspiracy of external adversaries".
These pitiful diatribes are symptomatic of the incurable war psychosis that has gripped the Potemkin Party for years now.
Indeed, it is obvious that the PP will require massive reconfiguration in its mindset/soft-ware for reason and sanity to prevail.
As it is, the antidote for its multi-layered malaise does not lie in the propagation of revisionist history; and/or in the flagrant violation of foundational pillars and principles of international law.
The fact is:
1. A regime that is presiding over an ailing economy where 68.7% of the population are classified as "multidimensionally poor" (WB terminology) in spite of massive international assistance; and,
2. That is seething under interminable internal costly conflicts of its own making;
is not in a position to pontificate to its neighbours about astute development policy or the fostering of good-neighborly ties anchored on mutual respect of each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Dear @SecRubio & @EUSR_Weber, the government in #Ethiopia has just conducted a public gathering yesterday in #Tigray. As you can see the slogan behind (2 pictures behind), it stated “our borders are the Red Sea). In this gathering, government cadres presented were organizing the people for the next war with #Eritrea. This is what is going on inside Ethiopia. This is what the government in #AddisAbeba is doing while trying to be diplomatic to the international community.

More than 150 Ethiopian Federal Police reportedly killed in an overnight OLA attack on Fincha Sugar Factory, Horo Guduru Wollega. DShKs, Bren guns, sniper rifles and hundreds of Kalashnikovs seized, vehicles captured or destroyed.
Thank you, Ambassador @FaqiAlis for the words of wisdom & statesmanship which the Ethiopian PM conspicuously lacking.
@AbiyAhmedAli ’s pursuit of “sovereign” sea access through threats of #aggression is unjustifiable and contrary to international law. #Ethiopia has never been denied commercial #maritime access through peaceful agreements. Threatening to invade #sovereign neighboring countries serves neither the Ethiopian people nor regional peace, but the #UAE and its enablers’ #expansionist agendas across the #HornOfAfrica.
