Strong earthquake north of Mandalay was felt in Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy and even in Chaing Mai and Bangkok! It lasted for a long time too. I had to run downstairs and was so dizzy.

I think the author failed to understand the dynamics of Myanmar politics before 2021. NLD needed that "landslide" victory in 2020 in order to change the constitution. It was not just a matter of "wanting to annihilate the opposition parties"
