@ora_dall The focus remains on scheduling as a primary or sole tool for managing fatigue, and we don't end up progressing towards effective system-based fatigue management. 2/2
@ora_dall Absolutely agree that a systems approach is needed but when the conversation is drawn back to scheduling time and again, we rarely encourage the development of a systems approach. Often, we keep the conversation in an industrial space rather than a health and safety one. 1/2
@ora_dall The challenge is that many studies evaluating sleep hygiene 'training' are not rigorous or comprehensive, so the usefulness of this strategy cannot be determined. It is clear that scheduling alone will never fully address the issue of fatigue. 2/2
@ora_dall I'm not sure I agree that it is that simple. I'm not sure workers inherently know how best to manage sleep and circadian health when working shift work. So, this advice can be useful for many if tailored. 1/2
