🕯️🇺🇦 Drone operator, artist and journalist Lana "Sati" Chornohorska died at the front

Lana died on January 1 in the Southern direction as a result of being hit by an enemy drone.

Fellow soldiers remember Lana as a principled, bright and very loyal person who lived by business and was always there.

In the unit, she was responsible for the preparation and use of drones, worked as an operator and navigator. Lana combined military service with cultural and artistic activities.

Lana joined the Ukrainian Volunteer Army in 2024 - after volunteering and a conscious decision to undergo training and master the work with drones.

Ukraine is intensifying strikes on Russian refineries and fuel infrastructure. Recent targets include facilities in Saratov, Syzran, Novoshakhtinsk, and Volgograd, along with port terminals in Novorossiysk and Temryuk.

Storm Shadow missiles from the UK are now part of the effort, apparently held in reserve for concentrated strikes on high-value targets - refineries, ports, and gas processing plants that feed military logistics.

The Saratov refinery caught fire this week without any new strike. The facility, hit repeatedly over the past year, failed under its own accumulated stress. Spare parts have run out, maintenance windows have shrunk, and temporary fixes are giving way to uncontrolled fires and full shutdowns.

Novorossiysk, one of Russia's most important export hubs, is now operating with a single remaining loading point after terminal strikes. Damage is accumulating faster than repairs can keep pace.
