@LupitaHLinares1 @LatinXChem They are active, because structurally they are related to the receptor.They are mainly hydrophobic but they present H-bond donor and acceptor groups that allow interaction between both.

@LupitaHLinares1 @LatinXChem Thank you very much! It was not necessary to protect the C-OH, because I used NBS for oxidation, which only oxidizes axial OH and in this case the OH of C-3 is equatorial.
To open the epoxide use HClO4 / THF / H2O, an opening reaction of epoxides in an acid medium.

La temperatura de ebullición del CHCl3 no es tan alta,vapor de H2O debe ser suficiente.El ácido se adiciona como catalizador,no debe ser limitante.Quizás como el PhNCO es inestable en condiciones húmedas,puede afectar el rendimiento de la reacción a mayor escala
