There are millions of fewer foreigners here (4mm last I checked) than when he took office in January 2025. The border has been silent since he finished his inauguration speech. The big beautiful bill, which is a byproduct of our massive government, funded most deportation priorities people are quick to criticize as insufficent.

We just struck a 100 year deal with Venezuela that will require us to develop their infrastructure and then benefit perpetually from a country that has 6x more oil than we do. Venezuela and Iran, being key cogs to Chinese success, are now crippled and are more about China than they are about Israel. We also control the key outpost of the Arctic for forever with no regard to whether NATO exists or Greenland becomes independent.

Trump also signed an EO banning birthright citizenship, which would have arguably saved this country in the long-run by making it no longer appealing to sneak in here to give birth to a “citizen.” That was struck down in court (not his fault), and so were his many efforts to clean up the cheating in our elections.

Yet people complain. Just like they complain about tariffs, even though they voted for Trump to reshore industry but they expected it to happen in 6 weeks. What policy did they expect to be used? Just like he said he would create the biggest, baddest military ever. What for? Presumably to use it against enemies, but now we act like Iran is the deployment of millions of men under arms, dug into trenches, with the economy nationalized to produce bullets and armor.

It’s easy to sit around and complain but to broadcast as if there’s nothing to be happy about or people are stupid to be pleased with anything that has happened makes zero sense to me.

No, we are not stupid, nor is everything a form of gaslighting. I’d love to be more inclined to render criticism but the constant whining and forgetting about how our border was the end of the country just 24 months ago is exhausting.

I'm sure the same J6 end-game was in play for all those "under investigation". Indict hundreds knowing that the majority would plead out, facing prison and certain financial ruin attempting to defend themselves. Then the left would point to all the guilty pleas as evidence of the conspiracy. Just sick.

I am not particularly confused.

The administration is locked in on the midterms and told ICE to prioritize the deportations of illegals that sound good during election season: criminals, especially violent ones.

At no point did anyone say to avoid detaining any kind of illegal.

They just said: be careful. Don't ensconce the administration in a scandal as we reach October.

Deport whoever, but be diligent, be clean, and be fast.

Cynical people decided to take that verbal guidance as a sign that the administration wants fewer deportations. Which is not true.

They're just telling you not to make an ass of yourselves before the midterms.
