Joe Biden should do one last unexpected thing—a grace note to his presidency. He should step down for health reasons and allow his VP to become president for the next two months. She would become the first woman to hold the office. Her official portrait would grace the wall.
@DimensionsInJen Taylor Swift could be a great doctor with the right costume and reveal and screentime as minimal as the Martin Doctor. I like the performance, but pop her into "Love and Monsters" and let's see what happens.
@Kat__Woods @replyallguy ...because boys' external organs are too delicate for such violent sports, our gender norms would change, regardless of our biology.
@Kat__Woods @replyallguy Aren't there decades of research on gendered communication styles, gendered ethical decisionmaking priorities -- because gender is the social construct, which is sustained through socialization. If, tomorrow, we decided that girls should play football and boys should not...
"Israel has only existed since 1948."
Which is true, if by "existed" you mean "has been continuously sovereign under its present government."

@Js_Tweats@justhere4fun87@GovTimWalz But in this case, the one you have given us, asking earlier would have saved everyone time. $100K was the ceiling, no matter how much info the recruiter has. Everyone could have saved time up front. This seems like inexperienced interviewer and recruiter, alike, to me.
@billhd I mean, kind of? The MBA is not "terminal" in the sense that a PhD is terminal. None of my tenured colleagues in the business school have only an MBA. It's closer to terminal the way an MFA is (and English has invented a "PhD with creative dissertation" to solve that problem).
@AaronMeyers Me too. Even overpaid a little (it was "a shortbox for XXX," but it turned out, because I love chonky books, it would have been cheaper to buy them individually). But there was a joy in just tossing some low grade DC silver age and some Space Family Robinson in a box.
