A Bible student and American patriot. Welcome. Narratives may get broken. God chose the powerless to confound the mighty ๐
You should throw out that talking point, you're embarrassing yourself.
The entire context of Isaiah 40-55 is about Godโs promises, not the Servant. It concludes where God invites Israel to obey His Words (listen, seek, return); Godโs spoken promises to restore, forgive, and bless.
The key phrase in the verse is "My Word". This is the normal Hebrew term for speech, utterance, message, command, promise, decree. It is never used in Isaiah 55 to refer to a person.
Here's a parting gift...
Psalm 138:2
"For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name."
@Tricknologist_@valorthodoxia Here's an example and the wisdom you lack...
God said through Isaiah 55:11,
"It is the same with my Word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it."
@ProfreshionalGH@MarineTimLee Can you give reasons why you think teaching Christians God's Word and preaching outside to unbelievers is "messed up" and "dumb"?
@AngelinaReagan7 It's an unknown wood that is only mentioned once in the Bible, Gen 6:14. We have nothing to compare it to in ancient Hebrew and can only speculate what species it was. Fascinating!
