Uganda’s pineapple industry is set to earn millions of dollars from exports as the country breaks into the massive Chinese market with its first-ever shipment of canned pineapples.
Uganda already exports fresh pineapples to Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, but China is now emerging as the biggest opportunity after receiving the country's inaugural shipment of 104 metric tonnes of canned pineapple.
Backed by a $220 million agricultural investment and a factories capable of processing 800 tonnes of pineapples daily, Uganda is moving from selling raw fruit to exporting value-added products to one of the world’s largest consumer markets.
Ugandan pineapples, famous for their exceptional sweetness and quality, are increasingly being recognized among the best tropical fruits in the world.
Burkina Faso expels Bill Gates Foundation from its territory
Burkina Faso’s military government, led by Captain Ibrahim Traore, has permanently closed Target Malaria, a genetically modified mosquito research project supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The program had been running in the country since 2012 with the aim of lowering one of the world’s highest malaria mortality rates. On August 22, 2025, authorities ordered an immediate stop to all project activities, the destruction of all mosquito samples, and the sealing of research facilities across the nation.
They cited concerns over national sovereignty, ecological risks, and foreign influence in domestic matters. The move forms part of a wider crackdown in which Traore’s junta has revoked the licenses of 21 international organizations this year in a broad push to limit Western involvement in Burkina Faso.
The shutdown leaves one of the world’s most malaria-burdened countries without its most ambitious scientific intervention at a time when it is needed most.
You really shouldn't be having a potbelly in the 21st century.
You can get rid of it.
1. Sleep more
2. Quit sugar, soda, beer
3. Fast 14 to 16 hours daily
4. Commit to daily exercise
5. Reduce posho, white rice and carb rich foods
A big belly is a sign of disease not money.
Google's CEO just revealed why 2026-2030 is the last opportunity for regular people to get rich.
Here’s exactly what he said…

VIDEO: Here’s a general view of outgoing Parliament Speaker Anita Among’s Kigo residence, seen through stationed police patrol vehicles during an ongoing investigation.
The footage zooms in on the compound’s second gate, located more than 100 metres from the main entrance, highlighting the vast size of the property.
A few people are also seen standing on the balcony of the multi-storey residence, situated off the Entebbe Expressway, near Entebbe International Airport.

QUOTE: “I am convinced of the correctness of our handling of the economic, security and political matters in our country. My worry, however, is in connection with the corruption of our public officials. How can we hope to convince anyone of the rightness of our cause if our own people are violating our own stated goals, thereby undermining our programmes? Corruption is a cancer which, if it is not checked, will hinder progress in all sectors of society.”- President @KagutaMuseveni in his address on the state opening of the 4th Session of the NRC, April 30, 1990.

11-year-old Abel from Togo was born with legs that bent backwards (as it is seen in the first frame) after a childhood injection gone wrong. Kids mocked him relentlessly, but his father’s love kept his spirit bright.
Then, African doctors changed everything.
In six free surgeries, they rebuilt his legs bone by bone, muscle by muscle. After months of tough therapy with his dad by his side, Abel stood tall for the first time.
Africans are able to perform these kinds of surgeries. Imagine without corrupt leaders how far Africa would go.
