Our CEO @eytanlenko and Head of Advocacy @nickymison presented to the Senate Inquiry into Australia's transition to a green energy superpower. This is Australia's opportunity to secure a prosperous future and do our fair share to decarbonise the global economy.
A friendly reminder that the opportunity to provide feedback to Transport for NSW on concept designs for a bike ramp at the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway closes on the 16th January🚴https://t.co/UVLZgcfGtB
This is all about giving confidence to businesses and communities and providing them with the right opportunities and support to help get them #BackToBusiness in a COVID-safe way.
P Hive is just a nonsense name for 5 Parramatta Square. Lets put it out to a community competition or just stick with a tried and true name like... well... The Civic? #nswpol
@Parramatta_News Lets put this to a city wide competition, and see appropriate cultural and heritage based names be proposed. For example, the Dharug word Mirrung for belonging, of look to heritage examples like Parramatta's lost architect James Houison.
@Parramatta_News 100% agree with Councillor Bob Dwyer. Phive is just a nonsense 'f' word. Our iconic new civic centre needs an iconic name, not just the least poor of a poor set of alternatives to The Civic or Civic Place.
We call upon our elected Councillors to revisit the naming of 5 Parramatta Square, giving credence to those wanting a culturally significant name, not a nonsense name, and seek options from the community on a name significant from the historical culture of Parramatta.
In June 2021 City of Parramatta put out to community, consultation on naming the new 5 Parramatta Square council building either Civic or The Civic. Some opposition ensued calling for a historic or cultural name based on local history or first peoples. $30,000 was then spent.
At the last Council meeting the name 'Phive' was voted by a single vote of Councillors. So from going from a wish for a culturally significant name we get stuck with 'Phive'. Moreover the consultants report included Civic again showing its prevalence as an option!
The Hardship Review Panel will help businesses that are experiencing genuine financial hardship that were previously ineligible for COVID-19 support.

Every vaccination is one step closer out of lockdown for NSW, and one step closer to getting a local small business back on their feet and on with the job of doing what they do best.
