@theallinpod@friedberg they kind of cut you off on the “what happens if supply exceeds demand” argument. Think you were saying what happens if we’re so efficient but job cuts are so large there’s no demand for the products. Can you expand?!
@johnarnold@ericgoldwyn@Arnold_Ventures I guess do you think this 40% estimate is overblown and that new jobs will be created though a painful transition. Just seeing these claude demos its shocking from a white collar job perspective. Just pondering the implications on the social fabric of the country/world
@johnarnold@ericgoldwyn@Arnold_Ventures@johnarnold somewhat related but AI disruption (speaking mostly on agentic Ai) replacing tons of white collar jobs. How do you think society survives if unemployment is 40% as AI replaces tons of jobs? Affordability becomes a problem for the masses now?
@markoinny I know you get trolled alot, but I'm being sincere here. Do you think the investment game has changed, or is this just part of a cycle. Old metrics seem to not have the forecasting power they use to have. Markets have almost become gamified.
@dampedspring@fundstrat Are they actually able to trade the warrant and recognize the value of the warrants (say 15 bucks a warrant), is that specificed anywhere?
@gametheorizing Maybe these people with 10 million + are just living in the wrong bubble I.e hanging out with people and living in areas where 100 million + is norm). If you have that type of wealth and just put it in normal assets live off the cashflow. Youre golden no matter what happens.
@Ksidiii Super insightful. Whats the best way for retail to get vol exposure for a tail event. Like paying insurance until we see a true vol event which pays off massively? Assume its not a traditional ETF. Understand this is not investment advice, just curious if a product exists
@DefiyantlyFree@ChiTown_A Stupid question maybe. If these people are dead presumably they no longer have an active bank account so are these checks even being cashed?
@BobEUnlimited@fejau_inc@ForwardGuidance Preface this with not trolling at all, just curious. Early march S&P was at 5250, you said those expecting strong equity returns from here are fighting an up hill battel. 8 months later the market is up 14 percent? Did you put too much weight on valuation then?
@hmeisler Makes you wonder if the Citi Panic/Euphoria index is broken. This has to be one of the longest stretches where we have remained in Euphoria. Despite multiple 5-10% pullbacks
@DerivativesDon So without getting technical, what were kind of seeing is distribution. As realized volatility continues, a top is building in indices. Obviously just an opinion, from a sentiment standpoint, interesting how bullish people have gotten
@DerivativesDon Whats your thoughts on how this impacts US indices? Aug 5th huge down move from carry trade unwind. Now we dont flinch. Have the leveraged players already been liquidated/unwound position on the post Aug 5th bounce?
@JimJame74888138 To be fair, I started following you because of him. He had a list of top traders and you along with DCP were on there. No doubt he's smart, he just has a different strategy than you. Tough to make calls in public
