Many developers have spent a significant amount of money on travel, hotel, & visas to go to a cancelled GDC.
@gamedevworld is announcing fundraising efforts March 28th-April 3rd for the GDC Relief Fund to help alleviate marginalized developers' burdens. https://t.co/TqJIMZJgyY
@JesseDamiani@nwilliams030 Game Engine Architecture is a go to. I also recommend looking at the docs for Unreal, Unity, and Godot to discern structure/feature.
Also building a game and asking yourself which systems could be reused. If so, you're in the territory of what an engine would support.
SNHU On Campus was so happy to partner with @dmcomics on this year's @Granitecon. Our @EsportsSnhu players enjoyed demonstrating their skills against local gamers and our game design students did a wonderful job in showcasing their new games to attendees. Til next year!
@graychy It's even worse when you consider that the percentage of high school graduates attending college has been steadily increasing: https://t.co/oJZWhJfJgG
@kylepulver Remember that time we realized Snapshot wasn't a metroidvania six months before launch, scrapped all the levels, and somehow you managed to build 100+ new ones? o_O
@tha_rami @chetfaliszek Think of it more as giving the community the option to support the community. I'll throw my $60 into the pool, and I'm sure many others would as well - I don't need a logo or product mention
"Have you seen the matrix?"
"Yeah! It's the one about crime. With a circle desk. The Matrix cop chases someone down all alley" - my wife, who apparently has never seen the Matrix
Want to end off your week on a good note? Check out this @WMUR9 video of heart transplant recipient Parker Bolton, who, with the help of @MakeAWishNH and SNHU Game Design professors, created his own video game. Go Parker! https://t.co/vyO763y70w
@whzemp@unity3d @jlindl @SNHU@sandboxSNHU Currently, @unity3d is the most prominent engine in the on-campus game programs. Used for our simulation projects with Boston Children's, Make-a-Wish, and more!
Congrats to the @SNHUOnCampus students for finishing your last day of classes! Especially the graduating game devs, remember you'll always be part of the SNHU community!
