New @washingtonpost poll!
The @CityCast_DC poll gave us a directional sense. This poll of likely voters tells a more concrete story: Janeese has a clear advantage with 11 days to go.
25% undecided, which is unusually high, lots can happen, but good poll for JLG, we’ll see.
Here in DC, we welcome everyone exactly as they are. I was proud to join my colleagues and neighbors this week to raise the LGBTQQIA+ flag at the John A. Wilson building as we marked the start of Pride Month! 🌈
Dolly Parton on her Imagination Library program that Republicans defunded:
"[My daddy] was the smartest man I have ever known, but I knew [...] his inability to read probably kept him from seeing all of his dreams come true. Inspiring kids to love to read became my mission."
Roughly 14,300 votes have been cast. Plenty of time for expected 115K Democratic voters to select #DemocratsUnited for Democratic Committee seats and don't forget to turn over your ballot and then sign it!
We invite you to join us for the 2026 Democratic Primary One-On-One Candidate Forum & Straw Poll this Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 11:30 to 2:30 PM at Sycamore & Oak, 1110 Oak Dr. SE.
We have not issued and will not issue any statements in support of or in opposition to candidates for the Ward One Council race, as no candidate received a two-thirds vote at our endorsement meeting, as required by our bylaws. All five candidates are members in good standing.
NEW: As the clock winds down to June 16, and @Vote4DC continues its education efforts, there's some concern that a large swath of rez will be left out of the electoral process because of ranked-choice voting.

Real people. Real endorsements.
Jackie Reyes-Yanes is endorsed by Sharon Snead, longtime President of the Hubbard Place Tenant Association
She knows what real leadership looks like: showing up, fighting for neighbors, and delivering for Ward 1.

DC is a one party town. We do not need one wing of that party to have complete control. Vote Big Tent! Vote Democrats United to Free DC. https://t.co/FvVvas4IjR
Spoke on @7NewsDC with Roussey about the mayor’s emergency order restoring limited juvenile curfew zones starting May 22 through June 6 following the viral Navy Yard Chipotle brawl.
DC officials knew Navy Yard was becoming a recurring problem long before the fights and “teen takeovers” started going viral online.
