.@repburgessowens’s amendment to the FAA authorization bill would lower flight prices & increase market competition, allowing more westerners to visit our nation’s capital. It’s past time we amend the archaic perimeter rule & allow for 7 more direct flights to DCA from western states. #utpol
It’s been a while since I worked late in the empty Capitol & during the walk out, paused at the exact middle of the Rotunda and just appreciated that awesome room all by myself.
To be fair @brianjameswalsh the time to address government spending is through reforming mandatory spending programs which far surpass total federal spending than does regular discretionary spending.
Says he likes the concession on appropriations
“The man or the woman who’s in the committee and the subcommittee, spending two years reading the inspector general reports, GAO reports, they should be making those decisions, not kicked up to elected leadership.”
@burgessev Isn’t just as much a brushback to previous Senate chairs/leadership who either marked in committee and never brought to the floor or just dropped chairman marks and never went to committee?
