CM DK Shivakumar avaru made an important appeal this week. Please participate in the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐈𝐑) of electoral rolls. I want to add to that appeal with a complete guide because I have been getting a lot of questions from people about what exactly needs to be done and how.

Your vote is the most powerful thing you have. Do not let a missed form take it away.

The 𝐒𝐈𝐑 is running in Karnataka from 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒆 𝟑𝟎 to 𝑱𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝟐𝟗. The final voter list will be published on October 7. If your Enumeration Form is not submitted before the deadline, your name will not appear in the draft electoral roll. This is not a formality or optional.

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑

A 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 will visit your home and hand you an Enumeration Form. Fill it carefully, verify every detail, sign it, and return it to the 𝐁𝐋𝐎 when they come back. They will visit up to three times so do not panic if you miss the first visit. If your house was locked when they came, they will have left a red circular sticker on your door. A violet square sticker means the form has already been delivered to your household.

No documents are being collected at the door. You only need to fill and return the form. Aadhaar is optional if you wish to provide it.

If you want to do it from your phone or computer right now, here is exactly what to do.

Step 1. Go to https://t.co/Rrwpkri0r6 or download the 𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐓 app on your phone.

Step 2. On the homepage, click on Fill Enumeration Form under Special Intensive Revision 2026. If you are using the portal for the first time, click Sign Up, enter your mobile number, fill the captcha and verify with the 𝐎𝐓𝐏 you receive. If you already have an account, click Login, enter your mobile number and captcha, and log in with the OTP.

Step 3. After logging in, select Karnataka as your state. Enter your 𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐂 number, which is the number printed on your Voter ID card, and click Search. Your existing voter details will appear on screen.

Step 4. Check every detail carefully. Your name, date of birth, address, and family member details. If something is wrong, correct it here. Once satisfied, submit the form.

Step 5. Save the acknowledgement number that appears after submission. You will need this to check your status later.

If your 𝐁𝐋𝐎 has already uploaded your physical form, the screen will show a message saying your form has already been submitted. If it has not been uploaded yet, you can submit it online yourself.

If you have turned 18 or will turn 18 by October 1, 2026, this is your window. Go to https://t.co/Rrwpkri0r6, click on New Voter Registration and fill Form 6 along with the Declaration form. You can also hand it directly to your BLO.

The problem is simple but everyone keeps pointing fingers at someone else. The same excuses !

This matter has been raised since 2019. Back then, the same party was in power at both the state and centre. Fast forward to 2025 (September)… and this stretch of road still has no functioning streetlights!

Yes, progress has been made in a way—we now have the poles and the lights installed. But what’s missing? The actual electricity connection…!
The irony and the fun part is that everything else other than streetlights keep cropping up on this area … like advertisement hoardings , street vendors etc . One of the hoardings recently fell on to the road causing damage to a vehicle.

Would it take another 7 years just to just connect the wires and get these streetlights functional ??

This road is used daily by thousands of commuters and residents. Darkness here is not just an inconvenience—it’s a safety hazard.

We urge the responsible authorities to take immediate action and finally close this embarrassing loop.

8/n Forest Dept launches forest reclamation and replantation drive in Kadugodi Forest land.
In response to popular outrage at the encroachment of Kadugodi Forest area, today the Karnataka Forest Dept launched a drive to reclaim around 100 Of the 711 acres of forest lands that fall under the Kadugodi Forest survey area. Encroachments are being removed, and immediately tree pits are being dug to plant forest tree saplings. This is the first time we have seen the JCB as a force for good!
This is a good beginning. Hopefully all the forest lands will be restored soon.
