Today, bipartisan leaders invested in the future of Arizona families, businesses, and communities. The passage of the Prop 400 ballot measure will secure the economic future of our state and create hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs for Arizonans. I am glad we were able to put politics aside and do what is right for Arizona.
Whether you like driving places or you prefer to walk, bike, or take public transportation, everyone should have the choice to move around in the way that meets their needs.

This is very, very, very good by industry standards.
TY @GovernorHobbs for recognizing many shortcomings of 1246 from economics to lack of transportation options. And TY @MAGregion for conducting 500 meetings, reviewing feedback from more than 10,000 residents, & putting forward THE plan that should get to Maricopa County voters.
I just vetoed the partisan Prop 400 bill that fails to adequately support Arizona's economic growth and does nothing to attract new business or create good-paying jobs. I strongly encourage the Legislature to vote on the compromise supported by a bipartisan majority in the House and Senate, business and labor leaders, and Maricopa County mayors.
Case in point. Myself & one other member of the public made comments/asked questions at today's @CorpCommAZ Workshop. Pretty sure w adequate notice others would have participated. And IMO Commission Workshop agendas should include presentations providing different perspectives.
.@ArizonaPIRG filed a letter today calling on the ACC to standardize its workshop process. Why are stakeholders learning about workshops on non-urgent topics with no ability to present with less than a week’s notice??? #energytwitter https://t.co/0kkSweRAUh

The AZ Legislature chose traffic congestion, fringe special interests and sprawl over the interests of Maricopa Co residents. Mayors worked on a compromise Prop 400 plan that will continue to grow the economy and create jobs. We will ensure this plan goes to the voters.
Very much agree! @MAGregion's comprised of R & D mayors. After years of working together, they unanimously agreed to bring an all-of-the-above transportation plan to voters. @GovernorHobbs, @MAGregion & others have compromised. Time for a real #Prop400 extension to get to voters.
Now, it’s time for legislators to vote on a compromise that is supported by a bipartisan majority in both chambers, business and labor leaders, and Maricopa County cities. Republican leadership needs to stop playing partisan games, put the bipartisan compromise up for a vote, and stop holding our state’s economic potential hostage.
