The Pentagon Papers - leaked by Daniel Ellsberg in 1971 - proved that the U.S. government had systematically lied to the public about the Vietnam War for over a decade.
The 7,000-page classified study, commissioned by Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, documented that:
→ The Johnson administration had secretly expanded the war while publicly promising peace
→ The Gulf of Tonkin incident - the trigger for congressional authorization of military force - was largely fabricated
→ Bombing campaigns were conducted against Laos and Cambodia without congressional knowledge
→ Multiple administrations (Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson) had made decisions they knew the public would not support if informed
The government’s own study proved the government had lied - not as an isolated incident but as a sustained, multi-administration policy of deception.
Nixon tried to suppress the papers. The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the First Amendment protected their publication.
58,000 Americans died in Vietnam. Over 2 million Vietnamese, Laotians, and Cambodians died. The government’s own records show they knew the war couldn’t be won and pursued it anyway.
The Gulf of Tonkin was the Lusitania of the Vietnam era: a manufactured false flag incident used to justify a war that was already planned.
It was great spending time with my friends, Secretary Mullin of Homeland Security and FBI Director Kash Patel, tonight! Both are great partners and run critical intelligence agencies that support the amazing people at U.S. National Intelligence DNI!
@GovPressOffice If you're gonna hang on every word, can we at least go back to the first phone call Trump had with Zelensky that your party impeached him upon?
Or is that petard now deemed unwise to foist?
@EmeraldRobinson@ChrissyAC78 I'm still waiting to even be contacted about being a JaydenX livestream witness to Michael Byrd doing his best Stallone doing a shitty Judge Dredd on Ashli Babbitt, 4 a b&e in the daytime, who had a SWAT team 10 steps behind her.

@ChrissyAC78@statedeptspox Solutions seeking problems not being solely unique to the US, your question is otherwise on point.
Why did Obama found and fund isis?
@ChuckGrassley Ya’ll are still on about the YewCrane?
Frankly I’d be willing to sacrifice half of Europe and all of the middle
East for my two kids to not have to put up with another round of proxy wars.
My 2 cents
