In 2020 @girdley, @thegeneralmills, and I started recording our chats about companies for sale and how we'd value them.
We called the podcast "Acquisitions Anonymous".
Today @acquanon hit #15 overall in the "Entrepreneurship" category!
#16 might even say we are "crushing it"😉
@kendogpower @SMB_Attorney The niche is good, but man that’s a lot of off books from a ratio standpoint (1:1). Almost all businesses have some of this, but 50% of your revenue.
@BillDA@girdley @RandLarsen1 @kelceylehrich @Mehtabalism @WilsonCompanies I had a conversation with a coach/implementer prior to my acquisition and it was amazingly helpful. Helped me realize I was a “players coach”, and that has been reinforced every single day.
@girdley @RandLarsen1 @BillDA@kelceylehrich @Mehtabalism @WilsonCompanies I was/am 100% turned off by the name of my type. It has the connotation of being argumentative, which I don’t think I am.
@sweatystartup My point is that a 30+ year roof costs more than $2/foot (it has to be metal for that longevity). And agree on upkeep.
What helps you guys is that you have few rooftop penetrations and no rooftop HVAC units.
@moseskagan@moseskagan Have you seen the same to be true in roofing?
We’ve seen the opposite. Non-roofers will design things that are much more prone to leaking. Theory doesn’t hold up in reality.
@Advisor_Jupiter Say more!
We’ve got massive material shortages, employees out with covid, and out caring for dependents with covid. Office and field staff. Inability to get materials and equipment.
Any ERTC (Employee Retention Tax Credit) experts around?
I’m hearing that the “partial shutdown”definition interpretation is much broader than initially thought with gross receipts.
Would love to confirm with someone who knows more.
