@thomasforth The problem is the margins are so tight for many in this sector that they won't have a long term if the short term pressures get any worse.
@danielanadj77 I don't see how this is true. It means he won't get credit for pleading guilty. I don't see how it can also be an aggrevating factor, that seems like double counting?
@MrStephenTee@PaulaWright It hasn't changed. It's always been any reasonable doubt. If you remove the reasonable you allow for defences of alien abduction or long lost twins. Sure is the same thing, they are interchangeable.
@Barrister79 Some people commenting should ask themselves this. If you were mugged and got a clear view of your attacker, they were arrested but your stuff wasn't recovered, no other evidence, would you be happy if the police didn't consider your account to be evidence?
@MontyCristo11@MovieTalkNOW1 I'm prepared to bet you Β£100 for charity that these convictions get in under gateway d in any trial in the next 10 years.
@MontyCristo11@MovieTalkNOW1 Those strict rules allow recent and relevant convictions to be considered as evidence of propensity under Section 101 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003.
