This photo was taken in 1935 on a sidewalk in Amsterdam. This was a decade before she was killed by Nazis. Her friend Sanne was killed two years prior.

Evil, hate and lies took this happy young girl away from us. We must continue to fight against the demonization of people who are different from us.
