@TheCradleMedia A sad situation, yes. But people should research first. This area is right by the separation line and there's a history of armed infiltrations into Israel from shrublands in these areas. It's about operational visibility, not a blanket 'destroy all their trees'.

@Ofcom Bethnal Green DO holding 1st class post for 1-3 weeks for 3+ months now. Currently without post for 12 days. We go to collect - staff lie to us, saying they have no post or that it's out for delivery. Hospital appts missed. Bank cards and PINs sitting there for weeks.

@RoyalMail Letters are being delivered in bulk once every 7-10 days to E8, London. This needs urgent action. One neighbour missed a hospital appointment, another is awaiting a passport, and another is awaiting a credit card with a separate PIN letter. How can this be resolved?

@JUbbs84641 @BBCPolitics His speech has nothing to do with Israel. He's setting out a domestic policy to protect British citizens who are Jewish and who are under increasingly frequent attacks fueled by hate solely for being Jewish.

@keveen2 @BBCPolitics He's talking about the hatred and aggression that has been directed at an exponentially increasing rate towards British Jews. It has nothing to do with Israel. Jewish shops, schools and nurseries vandalised, hate shouted at Jews in the streets, murders in synagogues, stabbings.

@JohnSmithecon @KateEMcCann I totally agree. But this is an issue on both sides. There are Palestinians, Jewish Israelis and Arab Israelis on the ground trying to build bridges, but it's grassroots and needs to build to enter mainstream politics. Yair Golan is a great start though.

@JohnSmithecon @KateEMcCann You know that wasn't the "principal aim" of Zionism, though yes, there were figures like Jabotinsky. Ironically, people are now calling for a Palestinian version of it - expulsion of Israelis to resettle Palestinians, just as Jews aimed to return/decolonise.
