Sunday is another Father's Day that fathers who lost children in flight 5342 have to walk through. Children who lost fathers cannot hug them. Pass aviation legislation. GIve pilots the tools they need to keep us safe! @SpeakerJohnson
"It's time for action, action that was promised months ago." @NTSB Chair @JenniferHomendy at our Air Safety Forum. Congress must pass legislation with an integrated ADS-B In requirement, a key ROTOR Act provision and top NTSB recommendation after the Potomac collision.
“Starting September 1, 2026, the FAA began strictly enforcing a rule that bans passengers from holding cups or service items during aircraft pushback to prevent evacuation hazards” It has been 602 days since Flight 5342 crashed. Planes need ADS-B in-Priorities!
@FAA_Bryan
I mean, the same can be said for 67 people dying in a mid-air collision, the @NTSB saying why and what to do about it, and the @FAANews not doing those things.
Sixty-seven voices. Sixty-seven futures. Sixty-seven people with something left to give this world.
Grace was one of them.
And somehow, the day before we lost her, she left us these words:
“It gets better.”
We carry them, and Grace, with us on this journey. (Part 5)
#AA5342
that has stayed with me: “I always feel Grace’s words are better than mine.”
They are.
Grace’s favorite passage was Habakkuk 3:17–19, a passage about choosing faith and finding strength in God even when everything around you has (Part 2/5
537 days.
While #Congress and the @USDOT have taken some action, the @USArmy has yet to publicly release its investigations or provide a comprehensive update on its implementation of the @NTSB’s safety recommendations.
Transparency. Accountability. Safer skies for all @SecArmy

If you have any Missouri contacts, we are a little light in getting signatures there. The families of flight 5342 are circulating a letter to influence legislation currently before congress. We are wanting to get as many signatures as possible by Sunday.

It is 2026! Is there really a question whether this technology should be required? @NTSB recommends it. ROTOR and @RepValHoyle and @RepBresnahan amendment to Alert implement it. Strengthen the Alert Act @HouseGOP@HouseDemocrats
That feeling when a House committee refuses to lift a finger until the @NTSB report is released and then performs legislative contortionism to do everything possible to avoid implementing their most important recommendation.
2 photos of our daughter Grace. 2008-the first time ADS-B in was recommended by the NTSB. The second is her at the university she was flying back to when she died. You have had sufficient time to discuss. It is time to require this technology. Listen to the NTSB!
@Michaeljrcomedy This is my daughter. You are one of our favorite comedians. I have seen this clip several times recently probably due to her being in the media as we lost her in flight 5342 on her flight from Wichita to DC. I have always wanted a recording of this show.
