@timandfriends Bat flip game…. Hands down… being there added to the drama…
But that game last night was as close to a heavy-weight fight as you will get in football…
@SRCondoLaw@ArmandConant@CCIToronto Congratulations Armand - from me and everyone at Meritus. I see ways that you have positively influenced our clients everyday
@chrisjaglowitz It will be much easier to advise clients to seriously consider the expense of these systems if we KNOW that insurance companies will reduce premiums...then there actually will be a payback that boards can measure...
I wanted to take a moment to post my sincere thanks and gratitude to the ACMO Board of Directors for asking me to serve them, and my entire profession, as the 2020-2021 President. We have both tremendous challenges opportunities ahead of us this year.
@chrisjaglowitz I don’t think it os fair for the owners to suffer this type of penalty for the decisions of the board. Cost awards like this are designed to curb behaviour. The behaviour in this case was decisions made by the board - not the owners collectively.
Administrative authorities are not meant to be advocacy organizations for one side or the other. They are designed to be independent and fair not biased and partisan. What chance does the CAO or CAT have if the board can’t agree on that.
Just advised by MAG that an order has been made under s. 7.1 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act suspending limitation periods and procedural time periods. The suspension is retroactive to March 16, 2020.
@Condos_Living @eagleaudit@ShawnLP@SRCondoLaw@ArmandConant I hope I am being clear. This isn’t about garage repairs or corridor redecorating with reserves. I am suggesting a possible tool to help boards keep owners from losing their homes. This could be a temporary measure, for a brief time to deal with an extreme situation.
@eagleaudit@ShawnLP@SRCondoLaw@ArmandConant For my part this is a temporary measure to address an extreme situation. I do not want to cause thousands of dollars in legal fees and increase anxiety. I respect the views but I don’t think we should take any possible temporary assistance off the table yet.
@chrisjaglowitz Agreed Stephanie. The announcement by CAO is quite possibly the most offensive public announcement I have seen all month. @CondoAuthON we have managers working from home to care for kids and buying tp for residents... that was disgraceful. Ps. You will get your returns -on time
