a) techies are bad
b) techies should feel bad for being gentrifiers
c) building housing "for techies" is bad
d) crime against techies is good

Not surprisingly, civic sense has become unpopular among many techies

If walking and public transit are your #1/#2 methods of transportation (ignore biking), then you are a New Yorker. Even if you don't live here, but want to.

If driving is #1, you are not a New Yorker. Even if you were born here. You'd be happier elsewhere

@IsaiahLCarter Another one of these. I love NYC, I see happy people everywhere. We have protests because we're not commie China. People can smoke pot here because we're not commie China. We can improve this city a lot, but it's still a great place to live, better than any other in the US

@spiroferrer Woke 1 didn't actually respect anyone or treat anyone with dignity. Definitely not disfavored groups, but even minorities were essentialized. And while you couldn't say "retarded" people were routinely made fun of for being dumb, or not having the privilege of higher education
