Age UK York are opening further day clubs for older people in York. Activities are tailored to attendees + a hot lunch is provided. Clubs are held across the city so that they are easily accessible although Age UK York can provide transport (at a cost).

If you were writing a course for prospective social workers, what would you want to include about being disabled, about disability and about mental health?
Never tell someone who is suicidal and reaching out for help that they have capacity and that if they really wanted to kill themselves they would have.
In the last year alone I've heard this at least 10 times from professionals.
Suicidal people deserve better.
