This week, Ms. Nanton's grade 7/8 class explored the topic of human rights using picture books.
The books on each table were connected by one main universal human right, but students were quick to discover that more than one was often present in each book.
Today is Winter Solstice. We celebrated with an assembly where we learned that the longest night of the year is a time to rest and be thankful. We welcomed Elder Wes Nelson and feasted together with some bannock.

Introducing @frontenacLRSD's refreshed Free Little Library! Students and staff please feel free to take a book from the Free Little Library or leave one for someone else to enjoy.
Library classes started this week @FrontenacLRSD. There are so many great books to enjoy in our collection and we are happy to help you find a book. Hopefully, students will have answers to the question on our bulletin board throughout the year.
This is IMPORTANT. This is why we need to remember our mission, defend the right to read, create safe spaces for ALL students, and be vocal, reasoned, and persistent!
