@oldenoughtosay That's where I got the information from - a teaching session they did for docs. It's also got great bits on constipation. My cousins enjoyed books about different types of animal poo at that age too, and there might have been one with a song - if I remember I'll let you know
But what if the suffering that drives some people into finding life unbearable is avoidable, unnecessary suffering?
Suffering that could & would be alleviated - if only UK palliative care services weren’t a threadbare patchwork of appallingly underfunded inadequacy? 1/3
@trishgreenhalgh Marie Curie is doing work on this (I'm involved with their palliative care virtual ward in Bradford), @holmes74sarah might know who best to chat to about the different projects
@princessjack@LucyGoBag Get a long towelling dressing gown, get straight into it after a shower and go and lie down (towel under your feet if needed). Turn it completely inside out to dry - we learned this the hard way. Saves the energy of getting dried.

@DrHannahBB Have you come across the YORLMC jobs site? I know in Bradford jobs are often on there and emailed out in the weekly GP newsletter and there's been a few I've seen recently if it's not too far to commute.

In my ongoing quest for the nichest tweet ever, I offer the following:
Does anyone want/need a frankly enormous (c.37cm x 27cm) spiral-bound copy of the vocal score for Mendelssohn's Elijah? Needs a good home.
Beat that.
hello, non-GPs. are you tempted to claim that GPs are 'not trained' in something? stop! think! check! check again! your colleagues blood pressure is at risk!
This is the most personal piece I've ever written. It's about my last three years living with chronic pain - the mystery, the loneliness, and the failures of the system. (Warning: discusses self harm and suicidal thoughts.) https://t.co/urcXjK7k4P
Across @WYpartnership we are keen to hear about children and young people's and adults' experiences of #PalliativeCare services so we can understand how to improve #PalliativeCare 👇It would be greatly appreciated if you could share this post with your colleagues & networks🙏
This is incredibly helpful.
The root cause of many presentations in infants with minor illnesses, especially respiratory, is the infant isn’t sleeping and the parents are broken as a result.
This is useful to demonstrate “abnormal” sleeping isn’t actual that abnormal.
Do you know someone who is currently getting end-of-life care? Please encourage or support them to share their experience so that we can make services better for everyone.
