HB 1467 was received favorably in the house and it’s on its way to the Senate floor.
While FAME supports many sections of this bill, we STRONGLY OPPOSE a list of banned books reported by district. This sets a dangerous precedent.

Unfortunately, the @FLSenateGOP @FLSenate sponsor of #HB1467 is incorrect. Currently, there is not a certified media specialist at every school in Florida. Hopefully, this bill will change that. @FloridaMediaEd #Freadom

As I listen to @FLSenate debate/discuss #HB1467, it's important to remember that what is taught in the classroom is different from what is available for FREE CHOICE reading in a school library. #FReadom is important for all schools & families in Florida.
