Finally, @yue_l_zhang@JasonLeng5@amitaishenhav examine how rewards interact with challenges to impact cognitive control. They find that individuals exert more effort for higher rewards & greater challenge, but lead to divergent affective states (rew>pos, challenge>neg).
fMRI network measures are affected by sampling error 🎲, physiological artifacts 💗, arousal 👀, and task state 🎞️. We argue that a major challenge in studies of 🧠network dynamics is distinguishing between these sources of variability.
