@gdb Did you guys plan on doing the non-profit to for-profit switcheroo back then? or was that spur of the moment after amassing 100 million in donations?
🚀 The Growth and Diversification of @THORChain : An In-Depth Look at its Interfaces 🚀
The rise in the number of interfaces built on THORChain is remarkable. The community's long-standing principle - that everyone would use the protocol without realizing it - seems to be on the verge of becoming a reality. Combined with its unique functionalities in the ecosystem and an affiliate commission system, THORChain appears poised to achieve its ambition.
Even though we might have our preferred interfaces, every platform deserves attention. Each has something different to offer, and given the unpredictable challenges any interface can face, diversity is our strength. Whether it's web, mobile, browser extensions, desktop applications, bots, or deployments on IPFS, the wider our net, the stronger our resilience.
For any aspiring interfaces not yet on this list but keen to make their mark, don't hesitate. If you're looking to harness the potential of THORChain within your application, reach out to @ninerealms_cap. They are primed to assist and bring your vision to life.
Let's explore these pioneering interfaces:
@THORSwap: The Celebrity, not only have they fully embraced every protocol feature from the start, but their integration with @Ledger Live is a testament to their commitment. This collaboration has enabled users to execute decentralised swaps, like BTC to ETH, seamlessly. Their continuous dedication to improving user experience sets them apart in the ecosystem.
@ShapeShift: The nonconformist. Renowned for its commitment to genuine decentralization, ShapeShift has consistently pushed the boundaries of the crypto ecosystem. Their evolution from a company into a DAO signals their belief in the future, with THORChain playing a pivotal role in this transition. This DAO not only boasts a complete product suite but also ensures an unparalleled user experience. ShapeShift has been a huge supporter of the THORChain community from the very beginning, even distributing a part of their token to THORChain liquidity providers via airdrop. With platforms spanning web, mobile, and even deployment on IPFS, they are pioneering solutions like @Arkeonetwork to challenge forced centralization across all interfaces. And, perhaps most notably, they’ve made it possible to conduct decentralized Bitcoin exchanges directly through @MetaMask.
@asgardex: The only open-source desktop apps, their resilience against potential censorship is commendable. Such platforms deserve unwavering support.
@Defispot: They're like the quiet rich kid on the block. No one really knows how big they are or how much they've got, but they keep making their platform better and better. They can handle loads of different chains and seem to have big plans. Everyone's waiting to see what they'll do when the market really heats up.
@RangoExchange: This is your go-to expert on everything. Rango Exchange seems to have a solution for everything. Supporting over 50 blockchains and a plethora of protocols, it's a powerhouse in the decentralized exchange realm. It finds the optimal route between any two assets. What sets them apart further is the SDK they provide. This allows smaller teams with limited resources to craft competitive products. They play a pivotal role in channeling significant volume into the THORChain ecosystem. While they offer support for countless protocols, THORChain is one of the few enabling decentralized exchanges for giants like BTC.
@FerzWallet: This is the calm yet consistent performer. They have developed an aesthetically pleasing mobile interface and have become known for their support of streaming swaps.
@decentralfi: Often regarded as shy, their envision the streaming swaps before THORChain implement it, trying to reduce the slippage using their bot Slippy. They are fearless innovators, consistently pushing the envelope of what's possible.
@EdgeWallet: True visionaries. Among the earliest external applications with a big community to see and harness the potential of integrating decentralised native swaps.
@Lends_so: Often referred to as the brave ones, Lends made waves by diving deep into the world of loans. While not everything went smoothly, especially with some loans taking longer than expected, they've navigated the challenges commendably. They didn't just stop at loans; they seized the opportunity to integrate savers and exchanges. As a web interface, they now offer almost the full suite of products that THORChain provides. The only feature missing is liquidity provision, and one can't help but wonder why.
@Liquality_io: They embody the genius locked away in a lab. With a fiery passion for open-source and a knack for blockchain, they've left an indelible mark on the ecosystem, they started working on cross-chain swaps with atomic swaps a lot of years ago. Really smart guys.
@SwapperDapp: Small yet ambitious. Their simple user interface and support for savers indicate their promise. Watch out for them, they might surprise you.
@THORWalletDEX: If selling ice to an Eskimo was a skill, they'd master it. Their vision to bridge the gap between crypto and traditional finance tools like credit cards is revolutionary. Incredible work and how well this team is handling the regulatory issue. Congratulations.
@xdefi_wallet: The dreamer of the bunch. A browser extension with an extensive track record, their aspirations rival those of giants like Metamask. And it seems unbelievable, but they are on their way to achieving it.
@TrustWallet: Efficiency incarnate. Their recent integration with THORChain, while cautious, has been strategic, ensuring the protocol's robustness. They probably wanted to do it earlier, but due to their high user volume they have waited for the perfect moment when the protocol was fully ready to offer a quality service to all their users.
@unizen_io: There's a lot yet to be discovered. With a sizable community, it's time they engage more with THORChain enthusiasts. I don’t know a lot about you Unizen, tell us in comments
@RocketXexchange: They've got an air of mystery around them. Yet, it's evident they've carved out a niche for themselves. RocketX, the THORChain community eagerly waits for your story.
@TeamCoinbot: Blending trendiness with functionality, this recent entrant offers cross-chain exchanges via a Telegram bot.
In the ever-evolving landscape, remember that competition is healthy and crucial. All interfaces should keep an eye on upcoming platforms like @MayaProtocol and @Chainflip. For a truly decentralised future, we need more liquidity, redundancy, and infrastructure. Let's come together in our shared vision to replace centralised exchanges and drive forward the crypto revolution.
@HippocampusWeb3@THORChain thanks for the props with slippy, a lot of work went it to it. Unfortunately there is no need for it anymore with the streaming services. Still working on some new intresting stuff stay tuned!
@pcfreak30@ChrisBlec would be really helpful if chris and some devs came together to describe what would be an ideal decentralized infra for an app / site / etc and work from there, ui/ux's could be evaluated based on the application of said principals.
what says you???
@ChrisBlec@iceman00008@Xilious@ChadThoreau@LiquityProtocol open sourcing something does not equal decentralized. FYI.
where do you host your code?
where do you host the database?
what about the front end???
Maybe you have. specific suggestions on how to go about it. We will hear you out.
muuuuuhhhh liquidity!
