@NeilFlochMD As someone 2 1/2yrs from RNY surgery with 275lbs lost, my experience would say there is truth in this. When I started my WL journey I was hyper focused on what I was eating, now living in my new body I think quantity of food affects your weight & quality of food your health.

I never do these, but story time: I was polite to a dude at a salsa bar at a restaurant 3 months ago. He asked where I was from and what I did for work and I told him. He was familiar with the city I live in and asked which school I taught at, so I mentioned the name.

@kimpagegluckie @AdetteL True, however, not everyone will have the same capacity to share due to lived experience & trauma. We have to respect that, and use our own initiative. The best learned experiences are not usually spoon fed to us, we need to take ownership and use our own initiative.
