“WHY ARE YOU STILL MASKING?”
The folks at the @TheWHN have put together a really excellent set of science-based answers to various questions about why you’re still wearing a mask.
(Even if you’re not still masking, you might be interested in the answers).
Let’s take a look…🧵
I love this so much!
At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.
This choice mirrors the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.
🚨HOLY SHIT!🔥🔥Well that’s a wrap, this guy will never be invited onto a cable news show again, but damn if he didn’t tell the truth about income inequality in the US. Bravo sir!! You’re going to want to watch this!
I know it sucks to admit you were wrong when you stopped masking. It sucks to acknowledge that you’ve harmed people by spreading disease. It sucks to accept that COVID is dangerous. But you can decide RIGHT NOW to wear a high-quality mask in public spaces again. I believe in you!
I have always found it fascinating how motorists and politicians feel aggrieved about 3-foot-wide bike lanes causing congestion while apparently feeling fine about dedicating 50-70% of the roadway for people to store private property, for free, for days.
Dr. @kwame_mckenzie reminds everyone of the impact COVID has on people on our mental health. He also expresses that the Ontario govt has UNDERFUNDED mental health supports.
We need a province wide long-covid strategy. Premier Ford, it won’t go away ‘cause you close your eyes.
1/ Well, some #bced absence rate data was sent my way, and, even with some rough crunching, holy 💩!
❌hybrid immunity
❌schools are safe
❌kids were always this sick
Here's total fall (Sep-Dec 2022) absence rates compared to 2019.
ALL of the SARS-CoV-2 studies from 2020-2023 are like “SARS-CoV-2 inflicts immense permanent damage to every organ system. It will be ESSENTIAL to follow up with every human who acquires Covid in order to monitor them for the onset of extremely serious complications—which often begin silently.”
And then we pretended the pandemic was over, while normalizing endless reinfection. No one is being monitored and doctors insist Covid is mild & benign. When folks show up with Covid complications that cannot be ignored, individuals and their lifestyles are blamed, instead of the virus.
FIVE YEARS of data & studies are aggressively memory-holed, & we are forced to continue pretending for profits & convenience.
@JayIsPainting @SteveRickettsSP @CBCQuirks I *just* read this article and, not to be nitpicky, but it's exactly what I said :)
The burnt area is depleted of nutrients and nitrogen fixing deciduous trees colonize first in what will likely eventually be the common succession of species toward conifers.
@JayIsPainting @SteveRickettsSP @CBCQuirks If I remember correctly from school way back when, poplars, alders, cottonwood, and the like, fix nitrogen in the soil and can be the first trees to recolonize a disturbed area. Conifers will follow in a later stage of forest succession when the soil has recovered.
Jennifer Aniston just posted some behind the scenes pics of The Today Show.
Notice something?
MASKS!
This is great to see. And great to see Jennifer not crop them out.
The entertainment field knows the risks of COVID and protect their staff. Why can’t hospitals and doctors?!
