Man, I can't finish FrankenTerm fast enough... WezTerm is killing my machine every time I go away for a while.
(FrankenTerm is my enhanced fork of WezTerm that integrates lots of improvements for handling massive agent swarms without leaking crazy memory or glitching).

Matches my eyes. Herbert had plenty of time in the first half to find guys and continually held onto the ball and when he did throw it was wildly inaccurate. Late in the game NE just unleashed the pass rush and was too late. Im a Herbert defender but he was atrocious last night. He ended up with most time to throw among all QBs this weekend. He was also the lowest graded QB with a clean pocket. Awful game
The levels of excuse making with Herbert are off the charts.
1. He’s a very good QB.
2. He hasn’t been good in the playoffs.
3. His line is banged up and its impacting his pass pro and confidence.
4. He was THE worst QB of the weekend.
All of these can be true.
Justin Herbert deserves better. This team around him is awful.
Dude is running for his life, wide receivers can’t get open, o-line gives him no time, running backs can’t get more than a yard or two, & he’s getting insanely beat up.
An incredibly talented QB is being wasted…
I know the OLine is banged up but the Pats don’t have a good pass rush. Justin looked like the rookie QB tonight. He looked sped up and uncomfortable in the pocket most of the game.
Justin Herbert is the worst playoff QB in NFL history. How do Chargers fans accept this. How do they wake up everyday and defend this atrocity of a quarterback.
At the end of the day, the Fins want a full reboot.
Mike McD is, at best, a league average HC.
Zero reason to keep him.
The gyrations about whether he's "a leader of men" are talking points and meaningless. It was just time to clean house.
Pretty absurd everyone wants to say Mike McDaniel is a great OC hire but is not a HC because he's not a leader of men or whatever despite his undermanned roster playing pretty damn hard weekly in a lost season.
Transparent judging a book by its cover, not actual evidence.
This is why he makes for a great OC in the league but is not a premier HC. It has nothing to do with his football acumen.
Also, sometimes a reset has to be done fully. Doesn't make much sense to start over at GM and QB but keep a HC.
Glad Fitzy keeping it 💯. Some guys are just meant to be really good coordinators and I think that’s what Flores is. I’m not taking a chance on him if I’m a GM.
For me, Matt Stafford blew the MVP in the 2 games vs Seattle and especially in the MNF disaster at Atlanta. I don't care how many TD passes he has thrown. Congrats, Drake Maye.
The best engineers never just wrote code. They were clarity merchants.
The collapse of the implementation middle isn't making engineering less important but it's revealing what was always important: understanding problems so clearly that the code (now, the spec for our agents) becomes more obvious.
The engineers who will thrive aren't those who can translate specs to code fastest. They're the ones who can:
1. Shape ambiguous problems into actionable intent
2. Design the context architecture that makes good outcomes inevitable
3. Judge what matters from what merely works
This mirrors what others have observed about business model shifts: when distribution costs drop to zero, value accrues to curation and taste. When implementation costs approach zero, value accrues to problem formulation and judgment.
The tools that win won't just accelerate the middle but I think they'll eliminate the need for it to exist separately at all.
The craft evolves. It always has. But it remains craft.
Mike McDaniel in games without Tua Tagovailoa during his HC career:
4-9
14.3 points a game
He is coming off back to back seasons where his team didn’t make the playoffs. You can talk about the job he did with Tua, and of course he deserves credit for that, but Tua was drafted high for a reason. McDaniel didn’t take some guy with no talent and make him be one of the more productive QBs in the sport for multiple seasons. Banking on him saving his job with another QB, on a team that doesn’t have a lot of cap space or a top 10 pick, just doesn’t make much sense to me. We’ll see what happens.
As I wrote earlier today, Stephen Ross expected to keep Adam Gase after the 2018 season but then he lost three in a row including in blowout fashion in the finale. Ross changed course.
Mike McDaniel better hope Ross doesn’t do a repeat https://t.co/kpAzYZUevC
