If you’re gonna write an essay, at least format it in a way that’s easier to read. Addressing you point by point.

1. Paul George was a free agent in 2018. Reports claimed he was “interested” in the Lakers, but ended up re-signing with OKC and didn’t even give LA a meeting. This decision was made well before FA started. PG had a clean opportunity to join. He didn’t. Period.

2. Durant and Klay choosing other teams only reinforces the larger point: stars have repeatedly considered the Lakers and then gone elsewhere. “They were interested” is not evidence that one inevitably would have signed if LeBron hadn’t.

3. The Lakers had cap space, young assets and the appeal of Los Angeles for years before 2018, yet LeBron was still the only superstar who actually committed without first needing another established star there.

4. Could someone eventually have come? Of course. But there’s no compelling reason to claim it was probable, much less inevitable. Without LeBron, there is no Anthony Davis trade as we know it, no 2020 championship and no identifiable superstar who was clearly prepared to take LeBron’s place.

You talk about context but you sure as hell didn’t give me any. And by the way, KD already called cap on Bron recruiting him to the Lakers. Lying won’t help you.

I don’t think the “majority never liked him” statement is revisionist but we can agree to disagree there. & yea it’s a fact LeBron received a decent amount of love from LA fans over the years, but I don’t think it’s wrong to say the hate outweighed the love. that’s just unprecedented behavior towards the best player on a team as well as a guy who brought a chip to the city. I can definitely say Bron fans are better off moving on instead of attacking Lakers fans & dumping on the team, but it’s a good amount of Lakers fans that are in that same boat towards Bron too. goes both ways imo
