Today I am not here as a Chief Minister, I am here as a grateful Indian and also as a disciple of @Gurudev : Sri Chandrababu Naidu Ji @ncbn#Gurudev70#45YearsArtOfLiving
As I’m in the ashram for @Gurudev’s 70th birthday celebrations, I had the privilege of listening to superstar @rajinikanth Ji from the audience yesterday. While his humility and humaneness shone in his talk yesterday, the depth of his spiritual yearning and the inspiration that it had for all of us was what stood out for me spectacularly. He very correctly articulated a pecking order of rarity:
Human birth is so rare.
To be born healthy and with a healthy mind is rarer.
To be a healthy human being and have a spiritual learning is still rarer.
To have all these blessings and then have a good Guru to guide is extraordinarily rare.
The final rarity: In previous times, disciples had to serve a Guru for 30 to 40 years to get the secret techniques like the Sudarshan Kriya to help one progress on the spiritual path. Today @Gurudev is providing that to anyone interested in learning it… this is even more rarer.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
A Very Very Happy 70th Birthday to you, Pujya @Gurudev. 🙏🌼
Within weeks of beginning my PhD at @UChicago, a friend from my @ICICIBank days emailed me about how deeply the @ArtofLiving course had moved him. I felt a quiet regret for not having taken it in India, wondering if I could even find it here. Clouded by those thoughts, I stepped out of my office and saw a flyer for the very course pinned to the noticeboard. I took it as a gentle nudge from the universe and enrolled. That single decision quietly rewired my inner compass—teaching me how to move through life’s peaks and valleys without losing my center.
When I later shared this serendipity with you, you smiled your infectious smile and said, “அது அம்மாவோட லீலை உன்னை இங்க கொன்றதுக்கு” — “It was The Divine Mother’s play to bring you here.”
Seventy years is not merely a count of seasons. It is a lifetime of turning breath into blessing, silence into solace, and scattered seekers into a global family. You have not just lived decades... you have woven them into lifelines. Through every satsang, every course, every quiet counsel, you have been the steady hand guiding humanity back to itself. Your service has never been loud; it has been luminous. A quiet alchemy that turns pain into peace, doubt into devotion, and ordinary moments into portals of grace. For nearly three decades, your practical wisdom has been my anchor. Even when I cannot sit in your presence, I open a book, listen to a satsang, or simply ask, “How would Gurudev meet this moment?” Invariably, the fog lifts. The way becomes clear.
On this sacred 70th year, I bow to the light you carry, the love you radiate, and the countless lives you continue to awaken. May the same grace you’ve poured into the world return to you a thousandfold. With deepest gratitude, reverence, and love. 🕊️✨

Norwegians pay tribute to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
I was honored to speak at the Norwegian celebration of the 70 years birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and 45 years of The Art of Living Foundation.
I came to know Sri Sri when we both were engaged supporting peace in Sri Lanka. Later we have cooperated in Myanmar and other peace processes. I have visited him at the ashram and attended many of his global events. Sri Sri has tens of millions of followers in all corners of the world.
Sri Sri is a man of peace, honor, wisdom and huge knowledge. He underlines the link between peace in your mind, peace in community and peace in the world.
Deeply anchored in the heritage of Hindu Dharma, Sri Sri brings Indian perspectives on life to the world.
His position in India 🇮🇳 is best illustrated with the fact that today Prime Minister Narendra Modi traveled to Sri Sris ashram in Bengaluru to show his respect. It was Modi coming to Gurudev, not the opposite way around. Such a wonderful gesture!
“India’s transformation will be powered not just by infrastructure, but by the energy within its people.”
Held a productive dialogue with a panel of Union Ministers during the Leadership Conclave at Bharat Mandapam.
Q: Gurudev, When Shiva is formless why do we worship the lingam?
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - You must understand what lingam means, lingam means identification. When a baby is born how do you know whether the baby is a boy or a girl – only through one part of the body, everything else looks the same. Just the genitals tell you ‘This is a boy or this is a girl.
So similarly, to identify something which is infinite they put a stone and that itself will tell you that this is a symbol of Universal energy, the formless. So, lingam means what? An identification. Genital is also called lingam because through that you identify, but that is secondary. Simply lingam means an identification, so they used to keep a stone or a crystal and say this is to identify the inexpressible, that which is infinity. It can be experienced through Samadhi in Meditation.
Q: Gurudev, What is Samadhi and how to attain it?
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar - The human nervous system is so designed that it can exhibit the totality of consciousness. Living in a finite body, and expressing infinity, is the possibility of human life!
What is the highest state of the blossoming of consciousness?
The highest state of the blossoming of consciousness is that the consciousness, which is neither in the past, nor in the future, nor in the present but a witness to all three; or you can say that consciousness, which contains the infinite past, the infinite future and is totally available in the present moment.
It is like a kaleidoscope or a telescope. Let’s take the example of a telescope. A telescope can catch and bring into ur vision, something that the naked eye cannot perceive! Through a telescope, you can see the faraway stars, the planets, and their movements, so much more clearly. Now, what does a telescope do? Well, it just magnifies the rays that are coming in anyway, and makes you aware of them; u can comprehend them.
In the same way, though the infinite Divine consciousness is present everywhere, its telescopic vision is an altered state of consciousness and that is what’s called samadhi. The final blossoming of the consciousness is samadhi. It can be experienced via Deep Meditation.
Happy Mahashivratri to one and all
