First Early Look of 'Impact Soccer' - A physics-based soccer game w/ no ball, pummel opponents to the ground or kick them free standing to score goals. Control your speed, angle, & kick power to execute major curves on strikes. ALL feedback welcome & looking for play testers 🤝
@AIandDesign Not surprised. It happens often that ads or things show up in my feeds that were based on text messages or just talking to someone about it. Pretty shady tbh.
@kiaran_ritchie I think it’s 100% fixable. We shouldn’t let “excuses” get in the way of taking action and giving more competition to Steam’s current monopoly. 30% is egregious.
Game Dev Tip:
When using AI to help develop your game, prompt your LLM to analyze your game and create a lineup of multiple different permanent agents (all Opus 5.5 for my setup) that can be assigned to work on different aspects of the game. Then tell the LLM to have each agent to review the project to gain an understanding of what the game is and what the tech stack is like, then do deep research on their domain of expertise.
The ability to now have a team of agents working on many different tasks in parallel has saved me significant time. I can freely brain dump all the different ideas I have through out the day without having to wait for my single LLM to free up their context.
Different projects will have different types of agents spun up, but for Impact Soccer it made me 2 different game play coding agents, a graphics designer, a social media manager, a gameplay testing agent, multi-platform performance reviewer, sound and audio agent, project manager/planner, platform compliance agent, and a few others.
Hope this is helpful 🤝
Hahah. This is the second person commenting that they just started doing this today as well. I honestly thought more people were already doing this and was gonna caveat the original tweet with that but I guess not! And re: collab - Certainly open to chat about it! I’m pretty focused on game (just shadow launched - haven’t even tweeted about it yet) at hand but always open to new opportunities if it makes sense. I dropped yah a follow so we can DM 🤝
For hardware: I have a gaming lab top from about 5 years ago with Ryzen 9, 16gb of ram and 8gb GPU (Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU). I do have limitations on not being able to run both blender and Roblox studio at the same time, so on that part I need to be in the loops with opening and closing though, I’m sure there would be a way to have the highest level agent open and close when needed.
For AI: All you need is a Claude max sub $200 month (might be able to get away with a $100 month). With Opus 5.5 I’ve honestly never hit limit on this, but will say I’m not running it 24/7. I have no incentive to make a one shot game, and about 5 months in on developing current game.
100% I feel like I’m managing a little game studio (so much fun!). I will say though when the updates come back I always like to confirm on my end as well before moving on the next thing. Sometimes even the highest level LLM doesn’t quite understand exactly what I was looking for.
@BrentCaulfield@AiClairvoyance Just checked it out - looks very similar and pretty much accomplishes the same thing as far as I can tell. TBH though, I don’t see the need to pay a vendor for this when AI can spin up this type of harness automatically on command. If I’m missing something, please let me know!
That’s another way to do it. I only talk to the highest level agent that over sees all the work, spins up more agents if needed, and assigns out the work to the different specialized agents. When the work is done the highest level agent does a pass for quality control before reporting back to me. It really feels like a mini game studio. Super cool!
@PrimeCoCreator Hahah! Curious what are your thoughts so far? I think going full agentic is def the way now. I’ve been able to get so much more done with no sacrifice to quality. I’m still in the driving wheel and calling all the shots.
