@RepJackKimble You must be trolling right? How can you be in politics representing constituents and be ignorant like that, they deserve better from their leaders.
Let’s take it easy now, I didn’t mean to bash football, love college football, just the absurd nature of make suggestions about a sport with over 100 year history by people that only watch a game or two every 4 years.
I actually agree with some retroactive punishment for diving. If not caught during the game, after the game some committee should be watching film and either issuing a fine or suspension to players that actively attempted to deceive by simulation.
Long and complex history, it’s better than it used to be.
There was also a time not long ago where a player could pass the ball back to their goalkeeper and they could pick up the ball, intentionally wasting time and slowing down the action.
Rules are implemented because the teams start to abuse or subvert the intention. New rules implemented this WC also aside from hydration breaks.
New offside rule proposed already and might be implemented in leagues this upcoming season.
2 different sports and rules, comparison was being made with rules you know well, can’t be exactly the same.
Now if everything is in motion, the rules says if the ball is played and the player is ahead of the last defender than it’s an offside like a false start is in the nfl where they can’t start running down the field before the ball is snapped. There is more nuance to the rule, it’s a simplification of it.
@AndySwan I see where you are going with it but the comparison is not correct.
It’s more along the line of the receiver taking off down the field before the ball is snapped
@TJLang70 USA searched far and wide across 50 different states and found 11 players born abroad to represent them. What do you want, a draft and get other countries players to play for you.
Now open up a book and read, it’s cool. Ignorance is lame.
@barstoolsports Got away with all the knees to the head, something had to give. Playing a sport with rules, not spreading freedom to the rest of the world
@cullenroche@teo_heel Amazing and since players have studied all those plays why do they need to be told what to do every second of the game by someone else. Life doesn’t have a pause button.
Rugby is superior in that sense. Got to think on your feet and execute the plan.
