Four young Malaysians chasing a TikTok “job offer” were detained at Penang International Airport last Monday after airline staff flagged their bags for a secondary scan — revealing 86kg of compressed ganja worth RM8.3 million bound for Manchester.

The two couples, all in their 20s from Johor, were promised RM8,000–RM11,000 to deliver “goods” overseas. Authorities say syndicates are now using social media to recruit unsuspecting couriers with fake high-paying job offers.
