@ReallyAmerican1 All the people who said we were overreacting in comparing this regime to Nazis can STFU forever.
You're under-reacting if you don't see the similarities.
.@CityAttorneyLA has escalated her outrageous assault on the 1st Amendment, seeking to financially penalize reporter @bencamach0 for publishing public records provided by the city.
It's downright chilling for the gov't to target a journalist like this.
The video of an employee of a City contractor, Urban Alchemy, spraying water in the direction of an unhoused person is disturbing.
Since 2021, the City has paid Urban Alchemy $14M+. We are looking into this contractor & the circumstances that led to this event.
I’m at the Inside Safe operation on Venice Blvd underneath the 405 fwy today, where I’m told more than 50 unhoused folks will be offered some sort of temporary shelter. Tricky situation here since there are 3 different jurisdictions involved.
Okay, here are the clips.
Katy Young Yaroslavsky accurately describes the problem, crowd shouts her down when she says many unhoused people used to be housed in our community, Rabbi (?) tries to calm people down and reminds people it’s a house of worship, crowd jeers
This Wednesday, the H&H Comm will hear Officer Traci's motion enabling one of the largest mass evictions in LA history at Barrington Plaza, carried out by the same $3B+ real estate investment trust that spent $566K to buy her Council seat.

The Hell. This is just embarrassing. The president of LACity Council looking like a napoleononic dictator having public control fits. Who voted to put him in charge? Oh. Yah. They all did. They. All. Did.
Someone just telling me that LAPD out giving tickets to parents dropping off their kids at Venice High.. which is 70% Brown, 15% Black.. thats 85+% BIPoC families getn banked by the puercos. Skanless.
6 days now and CM Traci Park hasn't denounced the racially charged vandalism of the BLM mural in Oakwood. Feel free to email her at [email protected] and tell her wtf yo.
my issue with gun control is that so many gun control “solutions” involve the police, which is not a solution at all. But guns are the leading cause of death for kids; even more than car accidents. We have to do something; I’m just not sure what it would look like.
Inglewood police are out recruiting at one of the city’s last remaining public spaces, the library. There are no protections for tenants being priced out of their homes, but you can make six figures to walk the grounds of a $5.5B stadium with a gun on your hip
BREAKING: Suspended LA City Councilmember Mark Ridley-Thomas has been found guilty of bribery and conspiracy. It stems from his time as an LA County supervisor in 2017 and 2018. The conviction marks the downfall of one of LA’s most powerful politicians. @LAist
Our work has been more effective off the neighborhood council. All the strides we’ve ever made for Black, Brown, and Native Venetian issues, were always against the grain of the (progressive) NC and CD11.
Our recs for Venice NC voting tomorrow. Disclaimer: Minus Lisa, these are not endorsements, just recommendations based off the very limited options we’re afforded this round.
