@uncoolzero Probably too late, but I have successfully recovered data from otherwise dead drives using dd to clone and DMDE to recover the data. HDDLiveCD/OpenSuperClone should do the trick. Caveat: don’t listen to my advice, powering on the drive can/will cause further degradation.
