2. You seem to have believed m7 on 1 above, now Mao hope you remember m7's address on events at Muwanga Kivumbi's home. M7 says he was briefed that 'hooligans from Kivumbi's camp due to defeat in elections picked up pangas and attacked police station, burnt tyres in the road for which police responded with fire killing 7 people'. Mao, from your own listening to media reports, do you believe m7 on this also?

This afternoon, my office commissioned the rehabilutation of Kyabairu Road, which connects the two sub-counties of Kyaterekera & Nyakarongo in Buyaga West. This project is another milestone in our commitment to improving access to essential services & opening up our communities for greater economic opportunities.

Good roads are key to fighting poverty. They enable our farmers to transport their produce to markets more easily, reduce transport costs & stimulate local economic growth. I promised to keep using my personal resources to support our community & am glad God has enabled me to keep my word!

I am grateful to the residents for the warm reception and overwhelming support they have shown towards this and other ongoing road projects across the constituency. @DrBayiggaLulume this is where you get it wrong. Uganda held presidential elections on 15 jan, to this day @UgandaEC cannot account for the figures it used to declare a winner which would be of interest to EC, the one that was declared and the entire country. This has left the election disputed. The imposed person is doing what can keep him in office, hurting the bigger section of the country but you want him to do right. You will sweat blood.
Let's settle the true record o the outcome of the election, then shall we be able to ask respect for the Constitution.

These and many, and many acts to come are outcomes of a man m7 that stole the jan 15 election to assume responsibility of the country's authority. Expecting him or teaching him to do the right thing is wasting our own time. Thieves and liars never have right thinking

Dr. Kizza Besigye yesterday demanded from Judge Baguma the curricula vitae of every Advocate on State Brief from whom Justice Emmanuel Baguma would have him and Hajj Obeid Lutale “choose” — strangers offered up as substitutes for the lawyers of their own choosing whom the State has set out to destroy through torture, deportation, threats, abductions and naked intimidation.

Besigye and Lutale are not unrepresented. They have counsel — chosen, competent, willing, and ready. What they lack is not lawyers, but a State willing to let those lawyers do their work. Hon. Erias Lukwago was abducted, tortured his photos in torture paraded on X by the CDF who ordered his torture before charging him with misprision of treason.

Senior Counsel @MarthaKarua was deported and declared persona non grata. The remainder of the defence has been harassed at every turn. The absence complained of was manufactured by the State. A right to counsel of choice violated by force cannot be cured by the same State handpicking who shall replace the very lawyers it drove out.

That is the constitutional heart of the matter. Article 28(3)(d) guarantees the accused a lawyer of his own choice. A fundamental right, not a courtesy dispensed at the pleasure of the prosecuting power. Article 28(3)(e) exists for those who have no counsel. It cannot be weaponised against a man who has counsel and is merely being prevented from reaching them.

Judge Baguma nonetheless picked three advocates — Sarah Awero, Julius Sserwambala and Sylvia Namawejje — and furnished their names. The absurdity is so shameless that even after Besigye publicly and unequivocally rejected Judge Baguma’s lawyers (Sarah Awero, Julius Sserwambala and Sylvia Namawejje), these three did not withdraw. Instead, Mr. Sserwambala rose to ask the Court for two weeks to read the treason files and purport to “represent” the accused who have already rejected him in public on day one of his annointment by Judge Baguma Emmanuel.

Judge Baguma’s legal team was rejected yesterday in open court. They want to read disclosure to represent whom? On whose instructions?

These advocates (Sarah Awero, Julius Sserwambala and Sylvia Namawejje) without instructions have no clients. They only have a state brief from Judge Baguma that the accused never asked them to hold and publicly denied them.

Instructions are the foundation of the advocate–client relationship; without them, one is not counsel but an instrument. To beg two weeks to skim files for a man who has told the world, in open court, that he does not want you, is not legal representation. It is participating — knowingly — in the violation of his right to counsel of choice. The request for two weeks to to skim files is its own confession: these are unprepared strangers to a complex, multi-jurisdictional treason case.

I reiterate my Monday 13/07/2026 request to every Advocate on the State Brief register: decline. No fee, no appointment, no direction from the Bench can convert an imposition into a mandate. Besigye and Lutale have chosen lawyers. The only lawful path is to let their chosen lawyers appear — in safety — and to end the charade of forcing counsel down the throat of accused persons who have said, plainly, no.

Choice of counsel is not the State’s to grant or to withdraw. It is the accused’s — and his/hers alone.

Gadaffi Mugumya, is a private bodyguards of @HEBobiwine,the president of @NUP_Ug .

Mugumya was #abducted in January after being held incommunicado for weeks, before he reappeared in the dock at Masaka Chief Magistrates Court on 13th March 2025.

As he gazed at the Chief Magistrate, six counts were read to him including; robbery, assault, destruction of property and malicious damage to property among others.

One year later, he’s remains languishing in prison and last appeared before court 7 months ago!
