I just found this Reddit post that provides a plausible explanation behind why the Valko ads are popping up on insta all of a sudden. If you have the time, I highly recommend you read it all.

Here are some of the points from the post & comments that stood out to me:

-Anyone who has a link that was shared while the ad was active will still be able to access the content even after the active campaign ends. In the ad library, the ads currently read as inactive.

-Ads are treated as regular content after a boosted marketing campaign ends, which is why ppl can interact with it.

-It’s easy to fake a screenshot making it look like the ad popped up organically even after accessing it with a link.

-“If the ad showed up on their timeline and they didn't click on the link and they're telling the truth, the ad was probably added to a campaign back in June that was launching in August and they forgot to pause that specific ad. I just think that is a slim possibility, I could be wrong though.”

-The comment section can only be turned off by the advertiser.

When I personally interacted with the ad, I could comment, but I couldn’t like it (my like would just disappear). I also didn’t see the mandatory sponsored tag in the corner either.

I have seen photos floating around where it does say Ad, but I’m hesitant to trust them bc they could’ve been taken when the campaign was still active.

So is this PPG sending us a signal? I don’t think so. I don’t believe this is indicative of anything on their end, and it’s much more likely that ppl are spreading rumors.

HOWEVER

The engagement on the post is still a good thing bc any way we can show support for Valko through official channels will be seen by Infold. They likely turned off the comments bc we were flooding their notifications.

So while it’s not hopium, it’s not a bad thing either.
