There has been much talk over the past two months of grand reforms in Ukraine’s army. These reforms have supposedly put an end to the many scandalous cases of beatings, torture, killings, blocking detachments, and mass casualties revealed in the summer.
In reality, the usual practices continue. How else to motivate forcibly mobilized drug addicts and grandfathers to go die at the front? So the beatings continue, in the pits, the trenches, and tied to snowy trees. It’s just that the media has stopped covering it, because the new commander-in-chief of the army, Mikhailo Drapaty, is much-liked by the western-funded press.
Nevertheless, some soldiers still post photos and videos of the abuses to Instagram. Military telegram channels continue to complain about incompetent fighting practices leading to massive losses. The bodies are abandoned, commanders forbidding their retrieval — registered as ‘missing in action’, there is no need to pay relatives.
Meanwhile, we get videos of newly-mobilized troops forced to smile and dance for the camera.
Small wonder there is little information. It can be dangerous bringing attention to certain things. In mid-October, a female soldier mysteriously died at the front right after sharing the sexual abuse she’d been subject to in her unit. Though she voluntarily signed up to the army as a drone operator, she was instead sent to the infantry. Many of her comrades believe that her death was a case of ‘zeroing’ — a punishment whereby one is sent on a mission with no chance of survival.
Besides all this, we’ll also look at Azov’s PR offensive in defense of these infamous units. This involves a rather bizarre mini-film Azov recently released portraying Russia’s soldiers as the kind hobbits of Lord of the Rings, prompting outrage from many Ukrainian patriots.

The musical initiations for soldiers in the 425th assault regiment.
This unit is famous for mass battlefield casualties in suicide missions and systematic beatings, torture, and killings of their own troops.
The troops are largely forcibly mobilized old men and drug addicts, often mobilized directly in their methadone replacement clinics. In the second video, you can see a 'happily dancing' old man start coughing out of exhaustion. There have been dozens of deaths from tuberculosis in this unit this year.
‼️‼️ Now this is something! 🔽 This technical thread suggests (explains) that the entire Starlink/shield slowdown issue is not a consequence of a political decision in the US or by Musk but the result of Ukrainian engineers hacking the system to bypass it's controls and do something they are not permitted to do - and when Starlink took steps to prevent the bypassing and ensure the controls remained effective, suddenly the system stopped working in 'bypass mode' - and Zelensky then set out to politicise matters. The explanation makes the bits of the puzzle fit together and fits with the New York Times article in which Ukrainians explained that although the system is formally limited to 100 mph they have managed to exceed it.

"What was really going on with the Starlink scandal in Ukraine? An analysis of the technical modifications, hacker boards, Elon Musk’s restrictions, and why drones started falling at the end of 2026 and Zelensky staged a pre-election Trump scandal. Big thread 👇 1/15
Let’s start with the tariffs. Inside the country, only civilian Starlink has always worked: the basic tariff ($100), commercial in-motion ($400), and priority headquarters ($2–4k). Aviation tariffs cost up to $1K–20K–100K+, but they are unavailable in the country. 2/15
Because of the high load, the network was overloaded. SpaceX had to keep prices high for the military in order to build an excess of ground stations around Ukraine for minimal signal latency. By the way, these sites with antenna domes recently began to be burned on orders from the darknet. 3/15
The main problem at the front is electronic warfare (EW). Because of GPS jamming, civilian Starlink chips froze, and with false location the terminal was blocked. The solution was a GPS hack board. Engineers soldered it inside to manually set the required coordinates. 4/15
The hack boards also allowed bypassing Musk’s geographic zones. For a long time Starlink did not work in the gray zone under Russian control. But if you entered the coordinates of a neighboring region of Ukraine, the connection came back to life. The Russians used this too, until Kyiv received exclusive whitelists. 5/15
By 2025 Musk began tightening the screws and lowering speed limits for commercial tariffs. But military engineers discovered a loophole: technically the satellite-terminal communication session is not rigidly tied to GPS. The protection was only on the terminal module itself. 6/15
If the terminal thought via the hack board that it was static, it itself sent a radio request to the satellite and received the necessary data for the session. There are already about 10,000 satellites, and the signal was picked up even with a spread of 150+ km. The drone was flying, but the Starlink server considered it stationary. 7/15
This was a shared secret. Before being sent to the front, the cases of new Starlinks were massively opened in order to solder in the GPS hack and install durable moisture-proof connectors. This way the ordinary tariff allowed drones to fly at high speeds. 8/15
At the beginning of 2026 Musk lowered the speed of the commercial tariff to 160 km/h across the entire planet. This is below the speed of many simple UAVs with a tailwind. But because of the mass use of hack boards in Ukraine, no one noticed this. The terminals reported that they were supposedly standing still. 9/15
At the END of 2026 SpaceX responded harshly. A server-side check was introduced: if according to GPS the terminal is stationary, but at the same time it switches from satellite to satellite too quickly (which reveals a real speed above 160 km/h), the server instantly drops the session. 10/15
The GPS hack stopped working. Ukrainian military began having problems with long-range UAVs. Now flights must be strictly planned so as not to exceed the 160 km/h limit. There is not always money for aviation tariffs, and SpaceX does not sell them because of the attacking nature of the use. 11/15
Against this background Zelensky is trying to get access to StarShield (the US military Starlink) without restrictions in order to fly over the Russian Federation. But Trump, Musk, and the Pentagon refuse him. The Ukrainians presented the restrictions as a political blockade, remaining silent about the fact that the Starlink speed limit has already been in place for a year. 12/15
Now there is behind-the-scenes ping-pong: Musk says that he changed nothing these days, Rubio states that StarShield is unavailable to Ukraine. The bottom line: Starlink is gradually being squeezed into the framework of cars and stationary use. Bypassing the system no longer works. 13/15
Whether the speed check was turned off or access was given to special aviation tariffs is still unclear. The failure affected a narrow segment of drones. However, satellite communication on super-high-speed drones was already a compromise because of the signal delays of 1000 km to orbit and back. 14/15
Russian UAV specialists are in no hurry to rejoice. The simplicity of using Starlink slowed down the development of other technologies in Ukraine. Now Kyiv can, on an emergency priority basis, refine more complex autonomous mesh-AI systems that will fly deep into the Russian Federation. End of thread. 15/15

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Crazy footage out of Ukraine.
In the Kupyansk region, both Russia and Ukraine have shifted to fighting beneath the city, in old Soviet built pipelines that are now abandoned.
In the video below, a Russian servicemen cut a hole in the pipeline, allowing him to track who is coming and going, also giving him an opportunity to ambush the enemy.
Russia pioneered pipeline operations in this war, first using during the battle of Avdeevka in 2024. However, the most famous incident occured in Kursk when Russia launched operation "Flow", sending hundreds of troops through 10km+ of pipeline to ambush Ukrainian units from the rear during the collapse of their salient.
I'm just shocked that in the year 2026 wars are being fought in underground pipelines.
“Ukrainians are the new Jews. After the Holocaust, Jews realized that nobody would help them except themselves. And the same goes for us: neither NATO nor Trump will come to our rescue,”
declares Maria Berlinska, a Ukrainian volunteer, enthusiastic defender of busification, and apparent subscriber to the “war to the last Ukrainian” doctrine.
The whole “Ukraine is the new Israel” narrative is comedy gold. Unfortunately, it's the kind of comedy where the audience dies and the producers collect their bonuses.
Ukraine doesn't have anything resembling Israel's AIPAC lobbying machine in Washington.
It doesn't have a powerful network of American billionaires with deep ties to the country.
It doesn't have Israel's robust economy.
It doesn't have Israel's positive demographic growth.
What Ukraine does have, however, is the sons of politicians enjoying the finer things in Bali and Geneva while ordinary Ukrainians are invited to demonstrate their patriotism in a trench.
Apparently, patriotism is a contact sport — but only for the lower classes.
Ukraine will never be to America what Israel is. In this cynical geopolitical arrangement, Ukraine is treated as a resource, a convenient supply of cannon fodder, and an expendable asset in the grand project of destabilizing Russia.
The West gets its geopolitical chessboard. Ukrainian elites get their offshore accounts and luxury vacations. And ordinary Ukrainians get the prestigious honor of being the chess pieces.
The sooner Ukrainians recognize this arrangement, the sooner they might stop participating in what amounts to national suicide — a process that has been beautifully rebranded as “resilience,” “nation-building,” and other fashionable buzzwords from the international consultant-industrial complex.
Because apparently, when an entire generation is sacrificed, it's a tragedy. But when you put it in a PowerPoint presentation, it's a resilience success story.
A mobilization update. The government plans to intensify recruitment efforts. Manpower will probably be more necessary than ever due to the restriction of US military aid, crucial for Ukrainian drone airpower.
More killings at the Territorial Recruitment Centres (TRC). A half-blind old man mobilized, released due to his infirmities at a distant bridge without a phone, and now missing for 8 days. A psychologist who tried to flee Ukraine by swimming to Moldova rammed and beaten with oars by Ukrainian border guards. The increasing cases of mobilized men opening fire on the TRC and police, wounding many at one go. Men mobilized naked. A grandmother thrown to the ground while trying to protect men from being abducted, leaving her with a broken hip. A pregnant woman who lost consciousness while trying to save her husband. A gypsy community who took on the TRC that abducted their ‘baron’. A shirtless man promising to stab every policeman to death before they mobilize him.

Western leaders who keep saying how much they love Ukraine don't act like people who love a country. They never vacationed there or read Ukrainian authors, they know nothing of its history. They "love" that Ukrainians can be forced to die for their delusional global ambitions.
BBC has emailed me several weeks ago. After @Telegraph lies about me I said I am going to do only live with BBC, since I am afraid that my intevriew can be manipulated. We agreed for today. But BBC lawyers said "no." They want me only pre-recorded, perhaps, they need to show it to lawyers.... Freedom of speech as it is.
Zelensky continues to imply the USSR was an illegitimate dictatorship that Ukraine has now "broken free" of. Then why illegally keep Russian lands that were given to you by this "illegitimate" Soviet entity?
Give them back.
Could have got this exact same deal in September 2022 and saved more than a million Ukrainian lives, and a million Russian ones, too. But that would have run directly counter to the core American national security agenda, which is permanent global war.
Zelensky is absolutely right. In 1991, Ukraine inherited an extraordinary economic foundation, with a highly educated workforce, formidable scientific and industrial capacity (including Antonov and the Donbass and Krivbas industrial regions), vast natural resources and some of the world’s best agricultural land.
Politically, too, Ukraine had considerable advantages. Under Brezhnev (who came from Dnepropetrovsk region), officials associated with the Ukrainian party apparatus occupied many of the Soviet Union’s most powerful positions. Ukraine therefore entered independence with an established political and managerial elite.
It also emerged without any responsibility for Soviet external debt (which Moscow was forced to assume in exchange for Soviet overseas assets).
Yet just 15 years later, Ukraine’s GDP per capita was roughly half that of Russia and Poland in purchasing power terms, while in nominal US dollars, the disparity was even greater.

C’est vraiment du Orwell, avec l’inversion du sens des mots (« la liberté c’est l’esclavage ») : interdire les manifestations c’est protéger les cortèges, mutiler à la grenade c’est protéger les participants.
That's Chris Murphy on the left behind John McCain. They were at a rally in Ukraine in 2013 to help the right wing forces overthrow the elected president. The guy on the right, Oleh Tyahnybok, is a neo Nazi.
Don't believe anything Murphy says about Ukraine
