@willingtwo@Remaxcondosplus Meanwhile the past decade all we here from developers & realtors is not enough supply to house everyone. A small rate increase dries up the demand. We don't have a supply issue, if we did they would keep building. It was always a greed/Speculation demand driving it.
@binoator @GlobalBC Seeing as 98.5 percent are just fine if not higher I am sure that is more the reason. Get vaccinated yes but time to move on with life.
@thoughtfulmome2@Keatto@SuperRusSaiyan@ExplainThisBob@elonmusk I have no issue with his wealth, just the arrogance that comes with it. Being wealthy does not mean your opinion matters more than actual facts. People seem to equate opinions with facts now which is sad.
@JohnPasalis@EconguyRosie Unfortunately housing needs a reset and complaining about what we all knew needed to happen is pointless. Housing costing so much turns away talent and has Canadians barely breaking even. Time for an epic cool off as it has been way too high for almost a decade in major cities.
@ParkBoard Sure no booze but the haze filled beach with cigarette and pot smoke are not even glanced at. Second hand smoke is shared with kids , a drink not so much.
@SuperRusSaiyan@ExplainThisBob@elonmusk Remember this is a rich man's opinion, doesn't equal fact. He is so far up his own butt all he sees is his own truth.
@JohnPasalis@JeanPGelinas Who cares about people getting into debt up to their eyeballs. No one forced them and no one cares. Rates need to be higher and housing much lower and not just something an investor can afford. People dug their own graves with this and they can jump on in, no ones job to help.
@ronmortgageguy Empty homes taxes has helped that and the average Canadian was not buying million dollar homes yen years ago. Investors bought up reasonable affordable stock and raised prices and the one who wants to buy and live competes for those. Canadians did this to themselves with greed
@JohnPasalis@cafreeland It is strange to only allow rent controls on older buildings. Also seeing as it was free money for a decade and all the real-estate investors drive up the market what did everyone expect? Hopefully normal rates will bump them all out of the market by forcing them to sell
@JShamess But, but, but we have no stock, all the immigrants will buy it all.. Oh wait, greed was the issue the whole time and investors driving up the markets. Suddenly we don't have a supply issue than??
