Over the last year, federal judges have ruled on more than 16,000 immigrant habeas cases that determine the legality of their imprisonment. An astounding 88% of their rulings went AGAINST the Trump administration. In other words, 14,000 people have been wrongly and unlawfully imprisoned in just 12 months.

If 88% of these detentions are ruled unlawful — by judges appointed by every president, including Trump — shouldn’t the response be to change the policy? The message is clear: Stop illegally imprisoning immigrants who have not committed crimes.
