In the last 24 hours, one of my teams was called out to conduct a high-risk entry and arrested a male wanted for murder.

On the way back to base, they stopped a drink driver who blew 68 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath double the drink drive limit. Keeping people safe.

I'm proud of what they do every day.

The Laois Roads Policing Unit carried out speed checks on the M7 yesterday.

This driver was detected at 185kph in a 120kph area. They were stopped and the driver was arrested.

Court is to follow.

Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped this 4x4 speeding at 120kph on the outside lane of Motorway while towing a trailer with no brake lights or indicators.

The speed limited for towed trailers is 80kph & the driver was found not to be licensed to tow a trailer.

Court to follow.

• 88km/h in a 50km/h Zone on the Coolock Lane, Dublin 17

• 135km/h in a 80km/h Zone on the N4 Ballydowd, Lucan, Dublin 22

• 76km/h in a 50km/h Zone on the N6 Baile An Phoill, Galway.
