I think judging people based on the things they like/dislike is stupid. I'm a huge shooter for JJK and FF16 but I got homies that dislike both, who give a shit

I think it's how someone goes about discussing their likes/dislikes that speaks more on their character imo

I don't think less of you if you don't like Superman 2025 or think less of you if you enjoy Mushoku Tensei or whatever. It's just shows/movies, who cares.

You then have people that act like liking x is equivalent to a crime or disliking y makes you subhuman, weird stuff

I think its because in this day and age, where more and more of our identity and rights are being stripped away, people seek solace in the media they consume.

As such, attacks on things they like function as attacks to themselves, directly. We've replaced our sense of self with interests instead

My coworker and I were talking today about how a quick lunch run feels like a sit-down restaurant bill now.

I pulled up a digital McDonald's receipt on my phone from late 2020.

Two standard Big Mac meals.
15.98 total.

I opened the app and added the exact same two meals to my cart today.

31.48 before tax.

Same food. Same drive-thru. Same paper bag.

15.50 more.

A 97 percent price increase in just a few years.

They keep telling us that wages grew to match the modern economy.

My paycheck definitely did not grow by 97 percent.

They are charging luxury dine-in prices for processed food thrown together in a drive-thru, while the executives record billions in profit and wonder why the working class is finally stopping to eat at home.

Executives from Cal-Maine Foods, Hickman’s, and Versova spoke of the phone phone and messaged to coordinate bids and trading on eggs.

@fe_paint Yeah also being a big ffta fan where holy blades 2x damage (granted with the boost from excalibur as well) has it in roughly top 10 skills in that game and then coming to fire emblem where every unit has that innately built in, really makes me feel that doubling should be special
