@adamvaughan_uk@thetimes I lived in Enfield for 5 years and my block of flats didn’t have any recycling AT ALL. After complaining to the council, we got recycling bins but were removed multiple times bc we had council flats and the building owner claimed people didn’t respect the rules. In 2017-2021
Since I have been tagged: I really could not disagree more for Europe. We had a cost shock, are seeing significant real wage losses and the main thing higher rates accomplish is depressing investment - which everybody seems to agree is the way out of this fossil mess
Okay, enough people have asked me to weigh in on this that I’m going to do something I’ve never done before… my very own Twitter thread! So here goes. This same issue has already been debated in relation to the Dahl and Fleming estates, and the way I feel https://t.co/Yg0wXome8r

Today, Boris Johnson & Liz Truss visit the queen in Balmoral.
If they had taken the train, it would have been 56kgCO2e. If they’d at least shared a plane, it would have been 4 tonnes of CO2e. They've taken a private jet EACH. That's 8t of CO2e.
A bleak start to Truss premiership
@EmmaBurstall@EleanorCatField@MetroOpinion but "nice & clear" doesn't mean the water is actually safe! The air might look crisp on a sunny day but you still get illegal & unsafe levels of PM, which cause asthma & literally kill kids in our cities. Why should we accept as the norm that it's ok to dump SEWAGE in our rivers?
