@job_sight @Rainmaker1973 The thief brought nothing and walked away with $30 and the goods. If the goods cost the shop $ X, then, in one sense, they have lost $30 + $ X. But, assuming the shop could have sold the goods for $70, then they have lost $30 + $70.

@gsd_chris @PhysInHistory A fascinating theory, well, at least two theories: we're alone in the universe and some god did it. Where in the Bible does it discuss life on other planets? Why does your god need glorifying, does he suffer from insecurity? Can't he deal with the evil better than me?
